Easy Honey, Krew, Mayor Grey
X
Easy Honey was born out of the small-town innocent college days: the days of walking home under the starry night, and springing under the watchful eye of sunny graveyards, Dairy Queens, and neo-gothic cathedrals. Easy Honey’s witty melodies dotted with catchy hooks serve as anthems of nostalgia for their indie rock audience of daydreamers and nightseekers. Drawing inspiration from the originality and attitude of The Kinks, The Replacements, and Radiohead, the band’s raucous yet sentimental live show exemplifies the realness that people crave in a post covid/internet driven world.  The band’s latest single, Orbiter, landed itself on numerous popular playlists including Spotify’s curated ‘Grade A’, and precedes more releases from the band under the direction of producer Wolfgang Zimmerman (Band of Horses, Susto). Co-frontmen Darby McGlone (vocals, guitar) and Selby Austin (vocals, guitar) share writing and singing duties, while Charlie Holt (drums, vocals) and Webster Austin (bass, vocals) provide a rhythm section which complements the personified, interwoven electric guitars. When not touring, the band lives in Charleston, SC, leading the way in the rapidly growing music scene… and surfing Folly Beach when home.

Dylan Wheeler, Dalton Torres, Estin & the 86'd
X
Dylan hails from Edgewood, Texas and although he might have cut his teeth in the tiny dive bars all around Texas like so many of his East Texas heroes before him, his ability to garner a committed fan base early on, even before he had officially released any music, is a distinct characteristic of the new generation of artists that Dylan is a part of. His use of social media platforms, like Twitter, where he would post acoustic videos of both originals and cover songs allowed Dylan to gain fans from all over long before he had committed himself to being a full-time musician. One such video, of the 90’s country hit “Strawberry Wine”, that he uploaded back in May of 2017 quickly gained well over 100,000 views and would give him an early glimpse of “what could be”. His continual cultivation of this early fanbase made the release of his first EP “Tell Me If I’m Wrong” towards the end of 2018 one of most highly anticipated releases for a new artist for that entire year. Those early songs quickly tallied 10’s of thousands and then 100’s of thousands of streams and it was only after this small taste of success that Dylan decided that becoming a full-time musician was attainable, in all honesty, this fate seemed rather unavoidable to anybody who had been paying attention.

In 2019 Dylan finalized that decision by quitting his job working in the Oil & Gas industry and committed himself full-time to his music and everything that goes along with it. With the training wheels finally off Dylan’s schedule quickly filled up, the shows got bigger… and better, he began making more trips to Nashville to write and record new music, he kept up his engagement with his ever-growing fanbase, and most importantly he released new music that displayed all the growth that came along with fully committing himself to his art. Every new song that Dylan has released has given us a further glimpse of what he is capable of and with each new layer of growth he grabbed new fans and made all the people that already love him even more committed to following his journey.

In just a few short years Dylan gone from getting 10’s of thousands of views on acoustic videos that he would post to now amassing 10’s of millions of total streams across all major platforms. He’s gone from playing those tiny dive bars to selling out major venues across his home state and others. But, if you ask him he will let you know that he is just getting started and that the sky is the limit. Not too bad for “some broke-ass kid beating on his guitar”, not too bad.

The Georgia Thunderbolts, Velvet Daydream
X

The Georgia Thunderbolts' journey to becoming the new torchbearers of Southern rock hasn't been glamorous. Just a few years ago, the Rome, Georgia-based quintet was busking at gas stations and playing for empty rooms. Today, they are a critically acclaimed, internationally touring band, with their latest album, Rise Above It All, released on Mascot Records. The 13-track record showcases a blend of hard-hitting Southern rock, blues, and heartfelt Americana.

“When you cut back on being a tough guy, more emotions can come through, and you hear that on this record,” says TJ Lyle, the band's lead vocalist. The band's lineup includes Zach Everett on bass, Bristol Perry on drums, and guitarists Logan Tolbert and Riley Couzzourt. Their sound spans the intimacy of 1960s singer-songwriters, the yearning of the blues, the storytelling of country, and the power of classic rock.

Their debut album, Can We Get A Witness, released during the pandemic, amassed over 6 million streams and earned critical acclaim from publications like Rolling Stone and American Songwriter. Emerging from lockdown, The Georgia Thunderbolts performed alongside rock icons such as Black Stone Cherry, Deep Purple, and The Marshall Tucker Band. Their earthy and emotive sound continues to captivate audiences, solidifying their place in Southern rock.

Channel 93.3 Presents: The Unlikely Candidates, The Losers Club, NOLO, CITRA at Oriental Theater (Denver, CO)

One listen to The Unlikely Candidates, and it’s clear that the Fort Worth, TX alternative rock mavericks create their own scene. One song vaults from stadium anthem into a piano ballad, while the next twists from syncopated singalong into a contemporary grunge-influenced pop song. Hailing from Texas, the boys immediately separated themselves since uniting in high school. Breaking from the typical musical traditions associated with the Lone Star State, they turned up with an alternative style of their own. They challenged the status quo and carved out their own niche in Fort Worth. No matter where they are, they’ve clung to a sound that’s simply The Unlikely Candidates. The band has logged countless miles on the road alongside everyone from Cage The Elephant, Sublime with Rome, The Offspring, Young The Giant, The Dirty Heads, Fall Out Boy, and Brick + Mortar. As they’ve grown as a band, the boys have earned acclaim from the likes of The New York Times, AXS, Esquire, Nylon, Alternative Press, Baeble, and more. Additionally, the band’s music has been featured on Hulu’s Veronica Mars, Showtime’s Ray Donovan, ABC's American Idol, FOX's The Four, NFL's Super Bowl 2018 playoffs, and ESPN's 2018 Indy 500. The truth is, with steeple-vaulting vocal acrobatics and fiery falsetto’s, combined with heavy-hitting synth melodies, undeniably catchy lyrics, and feel good beats, The Unlikely Candidates’ sound is still too big and bold for any scene.

X
Hoverfly is a Denver-based alternative-psych band combining soulful vocals, swaggering guitar and a driving rhythm section for an energetic sound that conjures the rock dynamism of Muse, Audioslave and the Killers. Formed during the pandemic of 2020 by cousins Chris Golias (guitar) and Tony Strayer (drums), Hoverfly found its out-of-this world sound when Carl Mease (bass) and Andy Rimer (vocals) joined for the ride. What resulted was a unique blend of raw emotion, trippy lyrical themes and high energy performance.

Rock the Walk with Sugar Britches
X

Sugar Britches is a blend of mischievous high-brow honky-tonk with eclectic instrumental accompaniment and clever lyrics, written by Brian Johanson and performed by a cavalcade of characters. Combining good ‘ol country heartache along with snarky folksy wit, Sugar Britches has been playing non-stop throughout Colorado and Wyoming in bars, parking lots, weddings, bat mitzvahs, rodeos, amphitheaters and regular-ass theaters since 2017.

Sugar Britches won Best New Band of 2018 and Best Country Band of 2019 from the Fort Collins Musicians Association and were nominated for Best Country Band of 2019 by the Denver Westword. They have opened up for many national touring artists, including Wynonna Judd & the Big Noise, Billy Bob Thornton & the Boxmasters, Pokey LaFarge, Corb Lund, The Reverend Horton Heat and Jason Eady.

The band released their first album, Don’t Make Her a Mixtape Yet You Idiot, in 2019 to great success, and they are releasing songs from their second album "No One Cares That it's Your Birthday" in 2022.

Merkules
X
Merkules, a rapper from Surrey, Canada, has amassed over 316 million YouTube views and 50 million song streams. A two-time Western Canadian Music Award nominee, he's performed more than 500 shows across North America, Europe, and Australia. His journey began at age 12, inspired by a local concert featuring Canadian rap icons. Starting as Merk Mikz, he gained a loyal fanbase with his witty wordplay and remixes of popular beats. Merkules’ original material, like the 2015 LP Scars, showcases his vulnerability, detailing personal struggles and a life-altering attack he suffered at 16. By 2017’s Trust Your Gut and 2018’s Cole, he evolved into an introspective artist addressing mental health issues. Now, with Apply Pressure, Merkules collaborates with Kevin Gates, The Game, and E-40. Created during quarantine, the album reflects his relentless drive and unique perspective during a global crisis.

The Wilder Blue
X

There is music. And then there is The Wilder Blue, who feel so transcendent, they’re in a category all of their own.” —Saving Country Music

The Wilder Blue, formed in 2019 by seasoned troubadour Zane Williams, is a unique blend of multi-talented musicians from the Texas music scene. Their debut album Hill Country (2020) and follow-up The Wilder Blue (2022) earned comparisons to early Eagles and 80’s-era Alabama with their five-part harmonies and bluegrassy folk-rock and country songs.

Their latest album, Super Natural (2023), produced by Grammy-nominated Brent Cobb, features diverse influences and a cover of the Eagles’ classic “Seven Bridges Road” with Luke Combs. Williams, a respected songwriter and former solo artist, assembled the band with members Andy Rogers, Paul Eason, and Lyndon Hughes, each bringing their own rich musical backgrounds and talents to the group.

With a distinct sound and a growing fanbase, The Wilder Blue continues to captivate audiences and push the boundaries of modern country music.

Carson Jeffrey (Colorado Springs)
X
Singer-songwriter Carson Jeffrey is a full-time, authentic to the core Cowboy and a part-time musician that Texans just can’t get enough of. During the week, the Cat Spring rancher disconnects completely from the music world, opting instead to fill his days building barns, fixing fences, mowing pastures and roping calves. When the weekend comes he converts to a road warrior playing more than 100 shows a year throughout the Southern region. Carson regularly sells out college bar mainstays like The Tap in College Station and The Blue Light in Lubbock. The 25-year old, Texas A&M grad released his third album, Fair Weather Cowboy on November 18, 2022. The ten track record gives fans a deeper glimpse into this cowboy’s soul. He penned every song showcasing themes about growth, loneliness, and letting loose. Fans can hear the new project "Fair Weather Cowboy” now on all streaming platforms.
