Travis Larson Band, Amalgam Effect, In Plain Air
X
Travis Larson Band's complicated phrasing, impossible timing, and seamless flow cause some to suspect that the band must surely operate from only one, albeit enormous, brain.

With eight studio albums and three full-length performance DVDs, the Travis Larson Band is firmly rooted as one of instrumental music’s premiere acts that masterfully delivers full throttle rock-fusion.

One listen to The Unlikely Candidates, and it’s clear that the Fort Worth, TX alternative rock mavericks create their own scene. One song vaults from stadium anthem into a piano ballad, while the next twists from syncopated singalong into a contemporary grunge-influenced pop song. Hailing from Texas, the boys immediately separated themselves since uniting in high school. Breaking from the typical musical traditions associated with the Lone Star State, they turned up with an alternative style of their own. They challenged the status quo and carved out their own niche in Fort Worth. No matter where they are, they’ve clung to a sound that’s simply The Unlikely Candidates. The band has logged countless miles on the road alongside everyone from Cage The Elephant, Sublime with Rome, The Offspring, Young The Giant, The Dirty Heads, Fall Out Boy, and Brick + Mortar. As they’ve grown as a band, the boys have earned acclaim from the likes of The New York Times, AXS, Esquire, Nylon, Alternative Press, Baeble, and more. Additionally, the band’s music has been featured on Hulu’s Veronica Mars, Showtime’s Ray Donovan, ABC's American Idol, FOX's The Four, NFL's Super Bowl 2018 playoffs, and ESPN's 2018 Indy 500. The truth is, with steeple-vaulting vocal acrobatics and fiery falsetto’s, combined with heavy-hitting synth melodies, undeniably catchy lyrics, and feel good beats, The Unlikely Candidates’ sound is still too big and bold for any scene.

Sour Bridges, Sugar Britches, Good For Nothin' Thunder Mountain Boys

Somewhere up on Cripple Creek, there’s an old log cabin where the gang used to gather to pass the bottle and trade tall tales. Sometimes, a back-porch pickin’ party would break out, and they’d spend hours strumming country-rock classics, drivin’ that train through the Band, the Byrds, Buffalo Springfield and various Burrito Brothers, and even entering ex-Beatles territory on “Crippled Inside.” (Yes, dogs did howl along with their lusty harmonies on that one.)

That’s the actual story of Austin band Sour Bridges’ birth. Well, maybe the cabin was really an apartment, and maybe it was closer to Lady Bird Lake (and maybe the dogs merely snored), but it did have a porch where friends gathered, bottles were passed and picking parties occurred. The songs also moved into original territory rather quickly, sprouting into a sound they call browngrass—“like bluegrass, but a little dirtier”—but it grows from that same country-rock soil. In fact, you can almost hear the history of American roots music in the strong harmonies and intricate arrangements of the band’s fourth album, Neon Headed Fool (May 24, 2019).

?

Its 10 tracks, all but one written by lead singer and rhythm guitar/banjo/harmonica player Bill Pucci, capture the good-time vibe of a porch pickin’ party, while reflecting a deepening maturity in subject matter. It’s a natural evolution for a band that’s been together since 2010—though Sour Bridges actually has its genesis in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

?

That’s where Long Island-born Pucci and his brother, Matt (lead guitar, mandolin, vocals), were raised. Both are self-taught players, but their musical interests were encouraged by their grandfather, who bought them instruments and even built Bill’s four left-handed banjos. They made their way to Austin in 2007, immediately finding a community of like-minded talents. Their latest incarnation includes Will Vaughan on bass and vocals and Marc Randal Henry on drums and percussion. “He’s a little more of a rock drummer,” says Bill, “so there’s a little bit of a different vibe.”

Mike Massé (https://mikemasse.com) is an internationally acclaimed, Ovation-sponsored, acoustic artist. Legends of rock, including Toto, Boston, Sarah McLachlan, Asia, and others have expressed love and gratitude for his renditions of their songs. Toto cites his cover of “Africa” as their favorite.

Mike initially gained notoriety for his performances posted on his widely viewed YouTube channel, https://youtube.com/mikemasse. The success of that channel allowed him to quit his day job as a public defender, and move his family to Denver to become a full-time musician. He can be seen performing at public and private events around the country and the world, including sold-out shows in the U.S. and Europe.

He is a highly regarded acoustic arranger. His arrangements are praised for their originality, creativity, accuracy and simplicity. He is careful to remain true to what is beloved about the original recordings, while bringing his own masterful musical flair to each rendition. He has performed live as a vocalist with former and original members of the band Boston, doing a set of all classic Boston songs, some of the most challenging rock vocals ever recorded.

Mike recently performed an evening of Beatles’ music with his band Rubber Souls, accompanied by the Denver Pops Orchestra. He appeared in a national television commercial for Google, a tribute to Prince that aired during the 2017 Grammies.

The Bros. Landreth

The Bros. Landreth welcome a new day withCome Morning, an album that marks both a rebirthand refinement of the JUNO-winning band's blend of North American roots music and harmony-heavy soul. The most immersive, emotive record of the Landreths' career,Come Morningfinds brothers Joeyand Dave lacing their melody-driven songs with layers of atmospheric synth, organ, and texturedguitar. The group's previous albums shone a light on their strength as a live act, capturing thespontaneity and sonic stomp ofa band of hard-touring road warriors. If those records unfoldedlike snapshots of The Bros. Landreth's nighttime shows, thenCome Morningsketches amarkedly different picture, showcasing the introspection and clarity that comes with a longperiod of rest. For Joey and Dave, rest wasn't always an easy thing to find. After pursuing separate careers assidemen, they launched The Bros. Landreth with 2013'sLet It Lie, a debut album that drew uponthe shared soundtrack of their childhood—Bonnie Raitt's blues, Little Feat's funky country-rock, Ry Cooder's eclectic instrumentals, Lyle Lovett's twangy traditionalism—for a sound thatsaluted the past while planting its flag firmly in the present.Let It Liewas a hit on both sides ofthe Atlantic, winning the2015 JUNO Award for "Roots & Traditional Album Of The Year-Group," earning The Bros. Landreth a nomination for "International Artist of the Year" at the2016 UK Americana Music Awards, and receiving praise from heroes like Bonnie Raitt. Yearsof near-constant touring in support of its release left the brothers exhausted, however, and theband took a three-year break before regrouping for 2019's'87.When the Covid-19 pandemic brought'87's accompanying tour to a halt, Joey and Dave beganrecording a new batch of songs in near-seclusion, pulling long hours in the studio and buildingsongs one instrument at a time. They layered, experimented, and twisted sounds into somethingnew, working alongside longtime co-producer Murray Pulver and a small group of guests. Whatemerged from those sessions wasCome Morning: a transportive album built for the heart, thehead, and the headphones.

Singer-songwriter Carson Jeffrey is a full-time, authentic to the core Cowboy and a part-time musician that Texans just can’t get enough of. During the week, the Cat Spring rancher disconnects completely from the music world, opting instead to fill his days building barns, fixing fences, mowing pastures and roping calves. When the weekend comes he converts to a road warrior playing more than 100 shows a year throughout the Southern region. Carson regularly sells out college bar mainstays like The Tap in College Station and The Blue Light in Lubbock. The 25-year old, Texas A&M grad released his third album, Fair Weather Cowboy on November 18, 2022. The ten track record gives fans a deeper glimpse into this cowboy’s soul. The Kaleidoscope Kid

The magic of a kaleidoscope is its constantly changing colors, shapes, and impressions. The Kaleidoscope Kid takes his namesake very seriously — blending psychedelic strings with hip-hop laced percussion into a genre-bending musical moment, tying everything together through his adlibbed lyricism and stylized performance persona.

The Kaleidoscope Kid is a Phoenix, Arizona native that grew up on skateboarding, visual art, and outdoor escapism. The diversity of his activities and surroundings translated into a varied love for music, bringing about a sonic landscape in his work that echoes his passions and interests.

Kaleidoscope’s discography leaps and bounds between spaces, leaning on his charisma to bring the listener along for the ride. A fan of an extensive catalog of inspirations that span from Sublime, Beck, Pink Floyd, to Blink-182 — his work is a reflection of intentionality and passion for the craft. Taking pieces of his life and translating them into his sound has helped Kaleidoscope create an ethereal world that’s equal parts relatable and entrancing.

Kaleidoscope recently signed to indie powerhouse label Suburban Noize Records and is working alongside the label to create a six-track EP, developing and fine-tuning his musicianship for his broadened audience. This positive new chapter in his career brings Kaleidoscope into the deeper pools of the music scene, which is sure to expand his discography as well as his fan base.

Easy Honey, Juno Rossa, The Morning After
X
Easy Honey was born out of the small-town innocent college days: the days of walking home under the starry night, and springing under the watchful eye of sunny graveyards, Dairy Queens, and neo-gothic cathedrals. Easy Honey’s witty melodies dotted with catchy hooks serve as anthems of nostalgia for their indie rock audience of daydreamers and nightseekers. Drawing inspiration from the originality and attitude of The Kinks, The Replacements, and Radiohead, the band’s raucous yet sentimental live show exemplifies the realness that people crave in a post covid/internet driven world.  The band’s latest single, Orbiter, landed itself on numerous popular playlists including Spotify’s curated ‘Grade A’, and precedes more releases from the band under the direction of producer Wolfgang Zimmerman (Band of Horses, Susto). Co-frontmen Darby McGlone (vocals, guitar) and Selby Austin (vocals, guitar) share writing and singing duties, while Charlie Holt (drums, vocals) and Webster Austin (bass, vocals) provide a rhythm section which complements the personified, interwoven electric guitars. When not touring, the band lives in Charleston, SC, leading the way in the rapidly growing music scene… and surfing Folly Beach when home.

Will Hoge is a mainstay of 21st century rock & roll, carrying the torch for a blue-collar sound rooted in ringing Telecaster guitars and anthemic songwriting. He makes music for roadhouses and rallies, for car stereos and dive-bar jukeboxes, for Saturday night hell-raising and Sunday morning comedowns. In an era of social media influencers looking to fast-track their way to fame, Hoge has proudly taken the long way around, dedicating himself not to the destination, but to the journey itself.

"Dirty, fun, and caked in garage grime, the songs are unconcerned with trends."
-Bob Gendron, Chicago Tribune

INTHEWHALE have been turning heads and accumulating a mass of die hard fans and followers thanks to a relentless tour schedule and an explosive live performance.

Artists and festival promoters have caught notice, with the band playing Riot Fest, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and Afro Punk, as well as shows with Jane's Addiction, Descendents, The Offspring, Gogol Bordello and many more.

The band celebrated their seven year anniversary in 2018 with "Dopamine," a six track EP produced by Steve Evetts (The Used, Sepultura, Dillinger Escape Plan) and recorded at the Foo Fighters' famed Studio 606.

Dopamine's first week sales made it on to the Billboard Heatseekers, Independent Albums and Heatseekers Mountain (#1) charts, without the support of a label, or mainstream radio play.

Before the pandemic, INTHEWHALE went into 2020 full speed ahead with a newly inked record deal with Golden Robot Records and returned to Studio 606, again with Steve Evetts, to record "Vanishing Point," a 7 song recording. In October of 2021, INTHEWHALE released Vanishing Point and shortly thereafter embarked on a three week tour of the UK, supporting the record.

"This is a band that is primed to go to the next level, and they are just MADE for the UK market."

Formed in 2015, CITRA is composed of singer/guitarist Brandon Arndt, lead guitarist Augie Menos, bassist Mauricio Jara and drummer Dan Naddy. Based in Colorado, CITRA quickly established themselves as “the premier rock group in the Denver music scene” - Ultra 5280, with gritty guitars, chugging backbeats, and self-assured songwriting.

The band released their first EP, Ocean in January of 2016 a mere three months after their inception. Regarding Ocean, The Prelude Press wrote “Fast, fun and loud, [CITRA] combines guitar driven sounds with soulful melodies to create five unforgettable tracks on their debut EP”.

Early 2017 saw CITRA release two new singles, “Air” and My My Mind” along with their first music video to build on the momentum of Ocean. Colorado publication Bolderbeat described the release as, “Gritty, dirty, edgy, yet catchy, a little grungy, and very original, we expect to hear these guys and their hard work appearing everywhere soon.”

The band's reputation for high-energy and captivating live shows began to spread and they quickly earned slots next to national acts from all over the country such as Jimmy Eat World, Silversun Pickups, A Day To Remember, Greta Van Fleet, X Ambassadors, Sum 41, Circa Survive, The Used, All American Rejects, and Shinedown. In early 2018 CITRA released their sophomore EP Mr. Copacetic to widespread acclaim, winning them 303 Magazine’s “Best Rock Artist” and “Fan-Favorite New Album” along with a nomination for Westword’s “Best Rock Band”.

2020 saw two more singles released, “Ocean”, and “Out of This Place” along with virtual livestreams and socially-distanced performances. Hard times did not slow the band down as they took the well-deserved time off from shows to get back into the studio to write another group of singles, due to be released in early 2022.

Born Davood Asgari in Richmond, California in 1984, Locksmith is a rapper and producer of Persian and African-American descent who came to prominence in the early 2000s as a battle MC and as half of the Frontline. The rap duo formed in the late '90s when Locksmith and Left were junior-high students, and began self-releasing mixtapes in 2001. The Frontline took a more socially conscious stance than most of the rappers associated with the hyphy movement that was popular in the Bay Area at the time, choosing to promote positivity rather than glorifying drugs, alcohol, or violence. The duo released debut album Who R You on Infrared/Landmark Entertainment in 2004, and the album was re-released as Now U Know on Penalty Recordings the following year. Lock & Left followed on Infrared, and some of the album's tracks received MTV airplay.

Meanwhile, Locksmith had already started gaining notoriety as a battle rapper, appearing on MTV's Freestyle Battle Championship in 2003 and later competing as part of GrindTime's Rap Battle League in 2009.
